QI GONG COURSE
The Tao Kuan School of Oriental Arts is bringing an extraordinary event to the Isaholidays Villages in summer 2025: the QI GONG COURSE, one of the five disciplines that make up Chinese Medicine.
This is a beneficial and relaxing practice, consisting of breathing and movement exercises, which does not require any particular skills or physical abilities. The practice combines physical activity with Taoist and Buddhist meditation techniques, the study of mantras (sacred words and phrases sung aloud), and the study of mudras (divine symbols performed with the hands).
WHAT IS QI GONG
Qi Gong is one of the five disciplines that make up Chinese Medicine, alongside acupuncture, dietetics, herbal medicine, and massage. It is practiced to treat many common ailments (anxiety, stress, back pain, headaches, joint pain, vision, hearing, insomnia...) and to balance emotions, which are believed to be at the root of all diseases.
Qi Gong means “work with energy.” The energies of our body (Jing, Qi, and Shen) are controlled and balanced through postures, breathing, and mental focus, with the goal of preventing everyday discomfort and thus living better and longer.
The founder of the School is Giorgio Barbieri, a naturopath specialized in Vital Nutrition and Colorpuncture. He is a member of the Italian School of Acupuncture (Sida) and the S-Drive Academy, a School of Advanced Training in Epigenetics.
TREATMENTS
The Qi Gong instructors are available to offer treatments such as: osteopathy, shiatsu massage, Vietnamese facial massage, foot reflexology, craniosacral therapy, treatments with essential oils and Bach flowers, naturopathy consultations, colorpuncture, and tests to fully assess the state of the body and emotional health (muscular system, digestive and cardiovascular systems, vitamin and mineral deficiencies, blood sugar, cholesterol, food intolerances).
Treatments and consultations are available for a fee.
… All that’s left is to welcome you onto the mat, so you can experience firsthand all the benefits of this ancient discipline and take care of your body and mind!
